THE WARDROBE EDIT

WHAT TO WEAR NEXT WEEK

BY INA ELISKA, NOVEMBER 4, 2026

Five looks for the week ahead, from Monday through Friday. We’ve mixed pieces that make getting dressed interesting with the ones you’ll reach for over and over again: a great coat, a good pair of trousers, an unexpected shoe, a little color. Copy the looks head to toe, swap in something you already own, or simply take an idea with you into next week. Everything is ready to shop below.

The snake-effect leather coat from Proenza Schouler could easily have been paired with black or cream, but we like it much more with pale blue. Sandro’s silk shirt, with its gathered collar, softens the brown palette without making the look feel too sweet. We kept the jeans brown and the accessories dark, with a Savette bag and Tom Ford slingback pumps. Gold jewelry is the only thing we’d add.

A pink leather Staud coat is a very good place to start. We’re wearing it with Maria McManus capri leggings and a simple white COS T-shirt, then adding Reformation’s Dalmatian-print haircalf slingbacks for another hit of pattern. A burgundy Fendi Peekaboo feels particularly good with the pink, and gives us one more reason not to default to a black bag.

We kept this one mostly black and beige, with a long Róhe trench over DISSH capri pants and a matching top. TOTEME’s white slingbacks lighten things up, while the Ferragamo Hug bag in zebra print is the piece that gives the outfit some personality. We especially like the zebra with the warm beige of the trench.

For Thursday, we’re leaning into brown. A DISSH oversized blazer and Nour Hammour croc-effect leather skirt make a good starting point, with a white Dries Van Noten cotton-poplin shirt underneath. We’d finish the look with black Reformation boots and a black Kallmeyer shoulder bag. The mix of brown, black and white keeps the look interesting without needing much else.

We’re ending the week with something a little easier. A Loulou de Saison cashmere sweater with white Citizens of Humanity jeans is simple enough, but the warm brown accessories make the combination feel particularly good. We chose TOTEME leather mules and a Savette bag, then added Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses to finish it off.
